Traders Point Christian boys - Departing Coach Kraig Cox
WHITESTOWN, Ind. -- (Updated 3/15) Now official that Traders Point is open. Knights were 90-96 in eight seasons under Coach Cox. This is their third year as an IHSAA tourney participant, currently residing in Sectional 58. The 1A Knights have gone a long way toward beefing up their schedule with ten 2A and 3A opponents. Good Varsity Clubber reports TPC graduates only one senior guard and only 3 ppg. No height to speak of in the entire program. One 6-2 is it. Everybody else in blue is 6-0 or under. Still there are some scorers on the returning roster. Enough, the report states, to push the .500 mark next season. 5-9 sr-2-b point Tabyas Grant pointed to as the best at 20 ppg, but his return to TPC is murky. HS Social Studies, MS Life Science, HS Physical Science openings. Just a heads-up - Science classes to be taught using Biblical word view. JV was 9-6. Assistant Coach Scott Nichols and JV Coach Dave Yaraschefski names mentioned as possible candidates. Junior High team is a combo of 7th and 8th graders. Aps deadline reported as 4/9.
