Clarksville girls – Departing Coach BD Ledbetter
(Updated 7/19) – Good Varsity Club member reports pretty tough job. Wins have been hard to come by in past 10 years. In the toughest 2A Sectional in state (in past 10 years 6 times the regional champ, 3 times the semistate champ and 2 times the state champ has been out of Clarksville's sectional. And that was by 4 different schools. Powers Eastern, Providence, Austin and Paoli dominate the top. Henryville and Crawford have both been good recently. Clarksville has long been the doormat of this sectional and the Mid South Conference where they are one of the smallest schools. Their only 2a peers are girls basketball powers in Eastern and Austin. School is also on tough times with dwindling enrollment and a very transient population. Bright side is decent facilities and pay. History, PE and Math openings.
