Tindley girls - Departing Coach Nic Carothers
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- (Updated 4/28) Can now confirm that Coach Carothers will not be back with the Tigers next season. Last year Tindley wrapped-up the season 10-9, and good varsity Club member emails that Tindley looks to be on the verge of something pretty good. Graduation loss is just one, but it was a killer. Darryn Hood’s absence will be felt for sure, as she was a true difference maker. However, the remainder of the roster is expected back. Chief among them is Jr-2-b Alilyona Mckeller (16ppg 10rpg 4spg.) 5-5 guard and classmate Shaneice Makori also expected back (9ppg 3spg.) A number of frosh also saw varsity time last year, and Tindley 8th grade won IPS City championship last season. Varsity Clubber reports a few incoming frosh will make immediate impact. Immediate success will be hard earned, but the extended view looks solid. Report also points-out admin wants to hire candidate with previous girls varsity HC experience. Confirmed early teaching openings include: HS ELA, Eled, HS SPanish, MS Science, Sped, and more expected.
