Sheridan boys - Departing Coach Chip Flemmer
SHERIDAN, Ind. -- (Updated 5/4) Good Varsity Club member emails that Coach Flemmer is reportedly returning to Georgia after just one season (4-19) at Sheridan. Three seniors graduate, according to report, but Blackhawk faithful point to 6-0 soph-2-b guard Caleb Wright as reason to be optimistic. He played substantial backcourt minutes as a freshman and is a skilled ball handler. Beyond that not a ton to go with. Four other underclass letter winners also expected back of varying abilities. Next season could be another rough one, but there are good numbers in the program and reportedly realistic expectations now. Not a ton of help from below average JV. Varsity Clubber states 8th grade only won a couple of games last year. 7th grade just above .500 HS English, HS Business, HS FACS, HS Math, HS Science, HS SS, MS SS, MS Math, and Eled. Coach Flemming’s Graduation Coach/Credit Recovery position is likely to be in play as well. Sheridan is a member of Hoosier Heritage Conference made-up of Delphi, Clinton Central, Rossville, Eastern, Carroll, Clinton Prairie, Tri-Central, and Taylor.
