Covenant Christian girls - Departing Coach Joe Smith
(Updated 5/29) -- Good Varsity Club member confirms report that Coach Joe Smith has resigned at Covenant Christian. Same report indicates Warriors lost a lot due to graduation, but they have some talent coming back, and there are kids wanting to go there. Plus they've done a good job getting quality players from other schools. Already word of potential internal candidates: Kris Howell and Brandi Fishburn. (Updated 4/27) - Good Varsity Clubber reports an early name getting attention at Covenant: Tim Garver. He was reportedly a finalist before when Coach Smith was hired, and he was an assistant for about 4-5 years prior to assisting at Cascade.
