Southwood boys - Departing Coach Jon Burrus
WABASH, Ind. -- (Updated 6/30) Veteran Coach Burrus leaves to take over at Maconaquah after fourteen seasons at Southwood. According to a good Varsity Clubber, last year’s 14-12 Sectional champion roster is expected to return their top three scorers. In fact report goes on to state that 6 of the top seven contributors should be back. THis could be a good one. JV finished .500 8th grade went 16-4 and 7th grade was 1-15. Looking way down the line, good Varsity Clubber reports both 5th and 6th grade squads were close to winless last season. Two internal names mentioned as potential candidates include Jim Hogan and Christian Perry.
