Southwester (S) girls - (Updated 4/9) Coach Bill Taylor will not be returning for the Spartans next season. Southwestern went 62-32 during his four years there including a 6-16 campaign last year. Good Varsity Club member reports Spartans lose two seniors, but return nine underclassmen that logged substantial varsity time. Arguably the anchor of the batch is 6-0 Jr-2-b post Courtney Raymer. Raymer went for 11 ppg, 10 rpg, and 3 bpg, and there's no reason to think those numbers can't go up the next two seasons, especially against some of the bottom teams in the Mid-Hoosier Conference. Also expected back is 5-4 G Annie Coy. Coy led the Spartans in assists and steals as a varsity Frosh last year. Reportedly pretty decent Jr-2-b and soph-2-b groups. Reportedly admin would like to fill with social studies.
