Highland girls – Departing Coach Chris Tomcsi
HIGHLAND, Ind. – (Updated 2/23) Can now confirm Coach Tomsci will not be returning for the Trojans after three competitive seasons there. Most recently Highland finished 11-11 and 2-3 in the Northwest Crossroads Conference. Aside from Conference foe Andrean, the rest of the Northwest Conference is and has been very well matched. Good Varsity Club member already reports that Highland should be a bit better next season as the Trojans graduate only two seniors, only one of who logged substantial playing time. In addition neither were big offensive contributors so the bulk of the scoring is expected to return intact. 5-11 sr-2-b Chloe Churilla is arguably the best of the batch as her 16 ppg and 8 rpg as a jr can attest. Varsity Club report continues that new coach will also enjoy a returning squad strong in rebounding and post defense. No teaching jobs at this time. Apps deadline 3/12
