Shakamak girls – (Updated 2/23) Eight year Laker Coach Troy Fougerousse has submitted his resignation. Coach won over 80 games during his 8 seasons with Shakamak. The Lakers went 4-19 last year and lost 8 of their last 9 games. However, that record is a bit misleading. Shakamak was truly decimated by injuries including two starters lost to ACL’s. New coach should enherit what a good Varsity Club member indicates is a very solid soph-2-b class. Class includes one of the players lost to knee last season – Had worked her way into a starting spot as a frosh. Varsity Clubber also reports Shakamak wants to move fast to fill. Apps deadline is reportedly 3/11. No teaching opening at this point.
