Seymour boys – Departing Coach Tyler Phillips
Seymour, Ind. – (Updated 2/28) Varsity Club member reports Coach Phillips has resigned at Seymour after five seasons (55-65) with the Owls. Most recently Seymour struggled to a 3-20 season including a brutal stretch that saw them drop their last 13 games in a row. Much of that was due to the departure of seven seniors from the year before. However, next season a Varsity Clubber reports that, at least on paper, the Owls should have six juniors and a sophomore returning with Varsity experience. Only player capable of scoring consistently against better teams is Sr-2-b Eric McCoy. It will be a rebuild for sure. More expected but can confirm Elem Art, HS Spanish.
