BOONVILLE, Ind. -- (Updated 4/12) Coach Brooks departs to take over at Reitz. Last season the Pioneers finished 9-14, and good Varsity Club member reports next year should be a pretty decent one for incoming coach. Report states only one senior (2ppg) graduates. Over 50ppg expected back including 6-5 sr-2-b Clay Conner (18ppg.) His sr-2-b classmates should provide experience PG play as well as enough double digit scoring firepower to make them difficult to game plan against. Varsity Clubber insists next year is not the issue, bu the years beyond that could be rather lean. Very little help expected from a 3-win JV roster. Varsity Club member familiar with the feeder program reports last year’s 7th grade group is considered very strong. More expected, but Varsity Club member confirms these teaching openings: Eled, MS SS, HS Music, Coach Brooks HS PE expected to be in play as well.
