Southridge boys – Departing Coach Mark Rohrer
HUNTINGBURG, Ind. – (Updated 5/18) Coach Rohrer departs to take over at Gibson Southern after three seasons in Huntingburg. Last year’s Raiders were 17-11 and were Regional champions. That squad was heavy with senior contributors. Good varsity Club member reports that only two full time letter winners return in sr’s-2-b guards 6-0 Kaden Neukam (2ppg) and 5-10 Carter Whitehead (10ppg.) Report continues virtually all height is gone as well. This will likely be a total rebuild. JV described as average. 8th grade pretty decent including reportedly owning rival Jasper. Not much in the way of teaching openings yet, but HS Bio is confirmed. Coach Rohrer’s MS Math may also be in play.
