Rochester boys – Departing Coach Rex Reinholt
(Updated 3/9) – Can now confirm Coach Reinholt has resigned after five years (26-84) with the Zebras. Last year’s group struggled to a 5-19 season, but Varsity Clubber reports they did become a bit more competitive after a disastrous 0-8 start to the year. Four seniors leave, but Varsity Clubber indicates three solid players to return: 6-3 sr-2-b Jordan Reinholt (9p/6r/5a), 6-2 jr-2-b Brady Perez (9p/4r) and sr-2-b Austin Utter (8p/4r). Report goes on to state no jobs at this time. Middle school grades 6-8 all very competitive. Ten team Three Rivers Conference. Now the flip side.. Another report indicates Coach did not get a fair shake, and there may be hard feelings. Wouldn’t be the first time for such an occurrence in this line of work, but it could potentially impact incoming coach if the program’s best player ends up leaving. Another twist, Varsity Club member reports potential front runner in Tony Stesiak- just resigned from Zebra girls position.
