Herron girls - Departing Coach Aaron Story
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- (Updated 5/13) Coach Story departs to take over the boys job at Purdue Poly (downtown campus) Apparently there will be three Purdue Poly High Schools in Indiana next year. Last season the Achaeans (yes) struggled to a 5-15 mark. When they played an established IHSAA program, the results were especially brutal as Herron really struggled to score points. Good Varsity Club member reports things are about to get arguably a lot worse for incoming coach. Only two seniors set to leave, but one of them was the only player to average above 4ppg. To make matters worse, Herron is currently classified as a 3A school for tourney play. As you might imagine, games against Sectional opponents have been rough going. (Chatard, Brebeuf, Heritage Christian..) Varsity Clubber reports good kids on roster, just not great basketball players. Lot of teaching openings: HS English, HS Latin, HS Math, HS ELL, and HS Music.
