Vincennes boys – (Updated 5/3) Good Varsity Club member reports Josh Thompson may be the man at old Vincennes. Gets even more interesting when you throw in this: Jeff Hein may be going home to Heritage Hills where he played and his dad coached. This would open up AD job at Vincennes for Thompson Wood Memorial is loaded next year. Many people in the area believe Wood would handily beat Vincennes next year, but the money at Vincennes may be too much to pass up for Thompson. Somebody is getting a state title contender at Wood if Thompson truly does leave - which looks like a certainty at this point. A separate Varsity Club report offers more confirmation: ”Interviews in and the candidate for the job is being “interviewed.” Report continues that it’s more of an introduction to the board on Thursday. I am told he’s not from Illinois and he won’t have to switch colors too much. So by process of elimination that means Josh Thompson is the man. He’d be switching from Green and Gold to Green and White.”
