Attica girls - Departing Coach Sam Terrell
ATTICA, Ind. -- (Updated 5/12
) Last year was one that Red Rambler fans would like to put behind them. Attica had the distinction of the only school on record to lose every girls' game (0-21), boys' game, football game, and volleyball game in the same year. Specific to the girls program, the 1A Ramblers are also in the midst of a 32-game losing streak. Additionally a winless JV, that was routinely blasted out of the water, also piles on. If there is a silver lining for incoming coach, it is the classic ‘nowhere to go but up.’ Good Varsity Clubber reports expectations have been tempered by a pervasive culture of non-winning. Two seniors depart, and it is possible to point to seven frosh and sophs that suited up for varsity last season as a positive. Points and ball handling are the main issues with this squad. These traditional weak points in a losing streak like this are ringing true again. Varsity Club member reports current teaching openings as: HS Spanish, Eled, MS Sped, and MS Math. AHS is member of Wabash River Conference includes: South Vermillion, Seeger, Covington, Fountain central, Park Heritage, Riverton Parke, and North Vermillion.
