North Mont boys – Coach Joel Grindle leaves to take a teaching position at Plymouth. Coach departs to be closer to family after going 84-91 in six seasons with the Chargers. Good Varsity Club member reports North Mont graduates seven and a ton of varsity stats go with them. Two do return with varsity experience. 5-10 srt-2-b guard Caleb Randolph went for about 18 a game last year and another 5-10 G in jr-2-b Justin Clary added about 7. Also look to have HS Math and Business in which to work with. However, that the good side. Good Varsity Club member also reports a hornets’ nest of vocal parents. Coach ran a controlled offense that won 14 and 15 games respectively the last two seasons with very limited talent. Downtown coaches association was reportedly vocally critical of less-than-up tempo style. Another Varsity Clubber confirms report and also stating Coach did exactly what was needed to keep his squad competitive. Next year’s roster sports even less athleticism and front-line height to support a faster style.
