New Haven girls - Departing Coach Andy Ross
New Haven, Ind. -- (Updated 5/21) Coach Ross will not be returning for a fourth season with the Bulldogs. Ross has only been able to scrabble together 9 wins during his three seasons at New Haven. But in fairness, New Haven has really been up against it talent-wise. Last year’s struggles continued that trend. Sophs on a learning curve playing varsity. Good Varsity Club member reports much of that group is due back as juniors, but how many more wins will that muster? Not many according to this report. If Bulldogs win five next year, barring a shift in schedule, next season will be considered a success. Sonny Nard (5-7 swing) is capable of hitting double digits on most nights next season as one of the junior group. Sped and Vocation Ed openings, but many more openings anticipated.
