Attucks boys – (Update 4/6) Now official that Attucks boys job is open. Good Varsity Club member reports that both interim Coach Mel Baird and former Coach Phil Washington will have the choice to reapply for the position, and by most accounts both are interested. Whoever takes over will have a Tiger squad that is loaded. Varsity Clubber reports both leading scorers return in: Sr- Nike Sibande 6'3 CG 18ppg 11rpg and Sr- Teyon Scalin 5'9 SG 16ppg 6rpg. Attucks also boasts a JV that won the city tournament consisting mostly of freshmen and have 7 kids over 6'2. The two Anderson transfers that were at the center of the mid-season sanctions are also expected back with full eligibility. Sr - Zach Owens 5'8 PG and Jr - Jamal Harris 6'2 CG – (With major D1 interest) The trouble was based around the Anderson duo participating in an Attucks open gym prior to being enrolled there.
