Mt. Vernon (Posey) boys – Departing Coach Marc Hoststter
Mt. Vernon, Ind. – (Updated 3/23) The Evansville Courier is reporting Coach Marc Hostetter has resigned at Mt. Vernon. Coach led the Wildcats for seven seasons, most recently going just 1-24 with a very limited roster. Hard to see much positive, but a southern Indiana Varsity Clubber indicates less than 15 ppg departs from a squad that averaged a little less than 50. Leading scorer is expected back as a rising sr. More bright side: Tow leading rebounders should be back. Although none topped 5 a contest. Two guards also expected back, but similar to the posts, none are head-turners. The 3A Wildcats play an interesting mix of Big Eight conference teams (Southern Indiana county seats), Evansville city schools, and a host of smaller rural schools. Old school gym is top notch. No teaching jobs at this time.
