Madison boys - Departing Coach Sherron Wilkerson
MADISON, Ind. -- (Updated 7/26) Coach Wilkerson has resigned citing personal reasons. Coach went 30-22 during his two seasons with the Cubs, 17-9 last year. Good Varsity Clubber reports Wilkerson might have chosen the right time as the Cubs graduate a ton. Six seniors leave including all big guns. Madison is no longer a member of the much larger Hoosier Hills Conference, as they voted to leave beginning this fall. No new conference at this time as they will operate as an independent for the time being. The 3A Cubs find themselves in Sectional 30 with Salem, North Harrison, Charlestown, Scottsburg, Corydon, and not to bury the lead, Silver Creek. 6-1 jr-2-b guard Kaden Oliver (9ppg, 4apg) is arguably the best of the returnees. Fellow classmate Jackson Falconberry (7ppg, 6 rpg) is also proven at the varsity level. 6-2 Jack Miller also logged considerable varsity time last season as a frosh. HS English, several Eled, and Sped.
