Clinton Central boys – Departing Coach Whit Keadle

MICHIGANTOWN, Ind. – (Updated 3/12) Good Varsity Clubber emails that Clinton Central will lose four seniors, three who were large contributors. Still there are several holdovers that should keep the Bulldogs in many games. Leading scorer 5-6 Koda Allen (11 ppg) is expected back for his senior year at guard. As is fellow classmate 6-0 Kyle Pickard (8ppg, 7 rpg.) New coach will likely need 6-3 sr-2-b Tyler Rayl and 6-5 Jr-2-b Anson Barrett to take on a lot more load in the post. Rayl is capable of doing just that. Barrett is an unknown at varsity level. All that being said, Varsity Club member reports best last season’s 4 win total is totally realistic. A very tough Hoosier Heartland conference where 6 of the other 7 teams were at or above 500, should be down a little next season overall, making a couple of conference wins more achievable. Report points out that CC is still a buyer beware entity. This is a corporation that has been historically tough on coaches. Very little help expected from a JV described as beyond bad. A ways off but 7th grade reported as pretty solid. One inside mentioned with potential interest JV Coach Scott Leighty. However, Varsity Clubber close to situation states admin would like to pair with HS business opening. No timeline reportedly in place.
