Liberty Christian boys - Departing Coach Jason Chappell
ANDERSON, Ind. -- (Updated 3/24) Coach Chappell is stepping away after 18 seasons leading the Lions. The ANderson Times-Herald is reporting that Chappell will remain Liberty’s AD. Last year’s roster went 18-10 and finished Regional runner-up. Five seniors graduate including top two scorers. Varsity Clubber indicates four sr’s-2-b are expected back and each went for just under 10ppg. Those two sentences rarely occur back-to-back. JV also described as pretty decent. No word on combined 7/8 Jr. high team Liberty fields. Current known openings: HS Science, HS English, HS World Languages, HS Math, Eled. However, one internal name getting mentioned is assistant coach and MS/HS teacher at Liberty, Doug Smith.
