Shakamak boys - Departing Coach Nate O'Neall
JASONVILLE, Ind. -- (Updated 8/12) Can confirm that Coach O'Neal is leaving to accept the AD position at White River Valley. Last year's Lakers finished 10-15, and good Varsity Clubber reports three seniors depart. However, the key to this program has been the sr-2-b class. Some locals feel that this group has underachieved, but now as seniors hey appear ready to make some noise. Two 6-4 frontliners, Guyler Gorby and Tyler Vivian lead the way inside. 6-1 classmate and All-Conference player Coy Gilbert will also likely be a huge piece. Soph to be point JT May also will figure into game planning. Shakamal is a member of a pretty balanced SWIAC with Bloomfield, Clay City, Eastern Greene, Linton, North Central, North Daviess, and WRV. Sectional 57 includes Bloomington Lighthouse, Bloomfield, Eminence, WRV, Clay City, and North Central. Coach O'Neall's AD position also open.
