Tipton girls – (Updated 9/3) Coach Nick Comer resigns to have more time and energy to spend at home with family and focus on teaching. Coach went 94-45 during his 6 seasons with the Blue Devils. Tipton was 12-12 in most recent go-round. Good Varsity Club member reports Tipton returns all but 1 player (Morgan Mahaney 2.9 ppg) from its 2014-15 roster. Tops amongst those are Evansville commit Macie Lively (18.5 ppg) along with Jessica Sprinkles (10.3 ppg) and Delaney Jones (8.1 ppg) all of which are seniors. Several other seniors along with a couple of role playing sophomores and a talented freshmen class which includes highly rated 5'10" wing Cassidy Crawford (sister of former boys All Star Mike Crawford) make up this years roster. Moving up to 3A, especially with the presence of Heritage Christian in their sectional will pose new challenges for a program that won 94 games over the past 6 seasons but the feeder program from the 9th grade down through the 6th grade is very strong so the foundation is set for continued success. Internal interest likely. Carrie Capshaw and Kevin Spray are names already submitted by varsity Club members as potential candidates.
