LaCrosse boys - Departing Coach Preston Frame

LaCROSSE, Ind. -- (Updated 4/1) Now confirmed that LaCrosse Coach Frame will not return for a fifth season with the Tigers. Frame continued a LaCrosse tradition of fielding undermanned teams and making the best of an uphill challenge. Frame cited a "Severely limited weight room and only one gym with four hoops" in an intv with the LaPorte County Dispatch. Varsity Club member underscores this sentiment in his report as well. The goal of admin is to get through the season without incident. The lack of resources, limited skilled Jimmies and Joes walking the halls, and overall apathy of a school system that somewhat accepts losing as their lot is going to be an real battle to get turned around. The Tigers have not had a winning season in last 19 years - 17 years. Most recently LaCrosse went 4-18, 0-8 in Porter County Conference. All the above paints a pretty dark cloud, but report also states that last season's roster returns the whole enchilada or at least should. Returners are headlined by leading scorer and rebounder in 6-4 sr-2-b forward Ben Garwood (17 ppg & 8 rpg) Also of interest is classmate point guard Kyle Gorski (10 ppg & 4 apg.) Gutsy Varsity Clubber projects 7-10 wins, which would put new coach flirting with .500. JV described as awful. No teaching jobs yet.
