Hanover Central boys - Departing Coach Bryon Clouse
CEDAR LAKE, Ind. -- (Updated 4/7) Coach Clouse resigns after a very successful run with the Wildcats to take over at Portage. Much of the core of Hanover Central’s success graduates including ball handling and leadership. That being said, Varsity Clubber is quick to point out that 6-9 sr-2-b post Landon Babusiak is expected back, and very, very few teams in the entire state return that much. Babusiak continued to improve as the season went on and his 14 ppg, 10 rpg, and 3 bpg will likely be an enormous part of any new coach’s plans. Classmates Nick Holden and Drayk Castner also bring varsity experience in the backcourt, but not necessarily point. Finding quality point guard play will be a challenge. Decent soph-2-b group moving up as well that will be able to help out eventually. JV reported as just under .500 Looking down the line 8th, 7th, and 6th grade teams reportedly all with excellent records last season. No teaching positions open yet, but Coach Clouse’s 6/7/8 PE position expected to be in play.
