Garrett boys – Departing Coach Matt DeWitt (Interim)
(Updated 3/15) – Interim Coach Matt DeWitt’s position is being opened as expected. Coach took over with 10 games left in the season, and the Railroaders struggled to a 1-9 finish. Garrett was 5-18 for the year. In many ways it was a real train wreck for the program as Coach Seth Coffing went through a very public arrest, complete with bloodied mugshot, after a bar fight in downtown Indy following his team’s loss to Central Noble at Bankers Life Fieldhouse just past Christmas. Dillon was an IBCA player of the week nominee this past season. Backcourt will be thin, but likely fall to 5-8 sr-2-b guard Micah Malcolm. Varsity Clubber also points out 6-5 soph-2-b Dane Johnson will probably figure into plans.
