Garrett boys - Departing Coach Bryan Leverenz
GARRETT, Ind. -- (Updated 4/14) Coach Leverenze will not be on the sidelines for Garrett next season after four very talent-limited years. It’s been nearly ten years since the Railroaders posted a winning record, but the last few have been especially harsh. Improving on last season’s 2 wins is very possible, however, as only two seniors and very little offense. Varsity Clubber reports that top three leading scorers (each about 10 ppg) are due back. A bit of height coming back as well 6-3 and 6-4, although report does state no dedicated rebounders in the batch yet. Turnovers were the death nail last season for Garrett, and that will still likely be a point of emphasis again for new coach. No teaching positions at this time. One unconfirmed name of interest: Matt DeWitt-JV Coach. Sent a few inquiries regarding feeder teams, but nothing back yet.
