Beech Grove girls - (Updated 4/15) Coach Mark Parker has reportedly resigned to take assistant job at Marian with BG great Katie Geralds. Coach Parker has led the Hornets for two seasons, going 17-25 during that time. Beech Grove went 11-12 last year. Good Varsity Club member reports Hornets to lose four contributing seniors to graduation. That would normally signal a pretty large rebuild, but not at BG. The Hornets boast a super strong soph-2-b class led by their two leading returning scorers. The impressive inside/outside combo of 5-9 PG Cameron Cardenas (19 ppg, 4 apg) and 5-11 F Katie Giller (11 ppg, 10 rpg) should return along with their gaudy varsity stats they logged as frosh. Reports indicate this is a duo, that with the right pieces around them, could do some serious damage in the next three years. This could be a great job.
