Frankfort girls - Departing Coach Mathew Britt
FRANKFORT, Ind. -- (Updated 6/2) Now official that Coach Britt will not return for a third season with Frankfort. It’s been a tough go for the undermanned Hotdogs. Last season was a dismal 3-20 and the year prior was just 2-17. The season before that, another 2-win campaign. In fact it’s been 13 years since that last winning season. Numbers are at the heart of the program’s issues. Rare is the season that Frankfort has had enough to field a JV squad. Four seniors dotted last season’s roster, and six varsity players came from the frosh and soph classes. Varsity Club member reports it will continue to be a similar uphill build for incoming coach. While Frankfort boasts a 3A qualifying enrollment, those numbers have not translated to athletic participation. Nothing on the horizon would seem to suggest a change in that trend. Varsity Clubber also reports pretty much any teaching area you can think of.. HS English, MS English, MS Math, HS and MS ELL, MS Science, Sped, HS Spanish, HS Tech, HS Math, HS SS, Eled and multiple levels of Sped.
