Frankfort boys - Departing Coach Jared Catron
(Updated 3/27) – Frankfort now official. Coach Catron will not be returning after three years (26-49) with Frankfort. Last year the Hotdogs were 6-18 and 2-5 in their Sagamore Conference (Tri-West, Danville, Lebanon, Crawfordsville, Southmont, Webo, North Mont) Varsity Club member reports a great deal graduates including 1000 point scorer, Carter Taylor. But 6-1 sr-2-b guard Malik King should be back and with him comes 15ppg, 5rpg, and 5 apg. Report goes on to say he is set to have a tremendous senior season with the drawback that he will garner all defensive attention. Very skilled perimeter player that can really shoot, defend, and handle. Varsity Clubber points to unproven 6-5 sr-2-b post Damen Moore as having to take on a ton more responsibility than his 3 pts and 2 rbs did in limited varsity action last season. 6-2 jr-2-b Casey Henry was good for about 5 a game, but did have a handful of solid outings reaching double figures in a number of contests after Christmas including 17 vs West Lafayette. Varsity Clubber reports he will likely play into new coach’s plans. JV and Frosh described as below average. VA Martin Hale and JV Coach Tommy Bracken have both been mentioned as possible names. No teaching positions at this time.
