Faith Christian boys - Departing Coach Rollie Norton

LAFAYETTE, Ind. -- (Updated 3/23) Coach Norton will not be back for a second season at FCA after finishing 8-16 last year. Aside from a 50 point ass beating at the hands of crosstown 4A Lafayette Jeff, the Eagles were in large part pretty competitive. Lafayette area Varsity Clubber reports that next year's Eagles' roster should look a great deal like this years as almost everyone is likely back. Two seniors leave, but only one was a full timer. Only 10 ppg leave with him, but his aggressiveness and athleticism will be missed. Still, FCA should be in a position to improve on last season's won/loss record. 5-10 sr-2-b PG Avery Norton is a key returner that is a proven ball handler. Nobody is going to burnout the bulbs on the scoreboard, but offense by committee is reality with several seniors and jrs-2-b. Of particular note is 6-4 soph-2-b Conner Todhunter - Appeared in most varsity games as a frosh. Faith is not a member of a conference, and is a long suffering entry in 1A Sectional 54 (Lafayette Central Catholic, Attica, Covington, Clinton Central, North Vermillion) No teaching jobs at present, but Varsity Club member reports: 1) There probably will be. 2) It will not likely matter as FCA is more than willing to go lay coach route. and 3) Internal interest.
