Fairfield boys – Departing Coach Steve Hall

GOSHEN, Ind. – (Updated 3/4) Now confirmed that Fairfield is officially open. Coach Hall served as HC for the last seven games following the resignation of Randy DeShone and two assistant coaches. The undermanned Falcons struggled to a 2-18 finish this past season. Good Varsity Clubber familiar with the program reports only one senior to depart due to graduation. No real scoring threats on the Falcon roster though. Varsity Club member reports that although just about everything returns, it will be hard to pencil in any player expected to hit double figures on a consistent basis. Fairfield is a member of the 12-team Northeast Corner Conference. The NCC has been a tale of haves and have nots for a while now, and last season at least, the Falcons were part of the bottom. Varsity Club member points out, however, that Fairfield is competitive over the long haul in this batch of teams. Middle school talent reported as pretty good. Mixed reports on interim Coach Hall’s role in this process. Apps deadline 3/19. As one could expect, no teaching positions this time of year, but anticipated closer to the end of the year.
