Elwood boys - Departing Coach John Kelly
ELWOOD, Ind. -- (Updated 5/17) Coach Kelly has resigned to spend more time focussing on the Elwood tennis program. The Panther program has had a rough go of it in terms of talent for some time. The last winning season was nine years ago, and the last five seasons have produced a total of just ten wins. All that being said, there is a chance to improve next season as the Panthers’ top two scorers are expected back. Srs-2-b 5-9 guard Jayden Reese and 6-2 post Hunter Sallee both went for about 13ppg each last season as regular varsity contributors. Sallee was also good for about 8rpg. Unsurprisingly for a team with this kind of record, turnovers were a plague, and Varsity Clubber reports this may continue to be an issue. JV reportedly only won a couple of games. Varsity CLub member reports 8th grade decent. Panthers are a member of the Central Indiana Conference: Oak Hill, Alex, Blackford, Ole Miss, M-G, Eastbrook, and Frankton. Current openings: HS/MS English
