Brebeuf boys - Departing Coach Todd Howard
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- (Updated 4/20) Coach Howard has announced his resignation after eight winning seasons and three Sectional titles at Brebeuf. Last season the Braves were 18-8. New coach will see an entirely new roster and look as now less than eight seniors graduate including their six leading scorers. Yeah. Only two underclassmen expected back with any substantial varsity experience, and they were good for just a bucket or so a contest. 6-5 jr-2-b Reis Butcher will likely be a building block as will athletic 6-1 sr-2-b Cameron Freeman. Varsity Club member reports that’s it in terms of returnees. Jon Avery-Brebeuf asst last five seasons and former IUPUI standout is reportedly odds favorite, but it will be a rebuild for sure.
