Reitz boys – Departing Coach Michael Adams
EVANSVILLE, Ind. – (Updated 3/9) Coach Adams has announced his retirement after 29 years on the Reitz sideline. The well-respected Adams will be missed as a fixture in Pocket City basketball. The Panthers finished the season 12-10, but did claim sole possession of the always competitive Southern Indiana Athletic Conference. (Vincennes, Jasper, Central, Memorial, Mater Dei, Castle, North, Harrison, Bosse.) Team leader and four year starter Gavin Schippert graduates as do a couple of other key contributors. Expected back is sr-2-b point guard Isaac Higgs. Beyond that. Good Varsity Clubber reports new coach will be piecing together a new varsity roster. Reitz plays in a wonderful old gymnasium, and enjoys a rich tradition of former players returning to visit. Very competitive JV. Multiple reports of internal interest, but no name yet. HS Business, HS Tech, HS Sped, Multiple MS and Eled openings.
