South Bend Clay boys - (Updated 4/14) Joe Huppenthal has officially announced his retirement after 19 seasons . Clay went 8-16 last campaign. Will reportedly be open to internal candidates this week. Will open to outside on 4/20. Clay graduates an incredible eight seniors and returns virtually no offense. One Varsity Club member reports less than 4 ppg comes back from the rest of the roster. "Complete start-up" is how one Varsity Club member described the situation, "with no help on the horizon." Another points to a potential disaster of starting a JV-like roster vs a varsity schedule. This one could get ugly in terms of the bottom line.
