Covenant Christian girls – Departing Coach Amanda Brown
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- (Updated 2/24) Reports now that Coach Brown will not be returning for a fourth season at Covenant. The 2A Warriors have gone 51-28 during that stretch including a 17-9 docket last season. Last year also saw Covenant claim Sectional before dropping to #1 ranked Triton Central. Next year’s squad will be without two big contributors. Varsity Club member reports they graduate about 27 ppg and about 8 rebounds with those losses. However, there is a very competitive jr-to-b group that saw a lot of varsity action last year. Paired with some additional underclass size, this team could again make some noise in 2A. Mixed reports from Varsity Club on internal interest. VA Amanda Owen and JV Cody Owen names have both been sent in as possibles, but another report contradicts that. Not much cooking in teaching areas at this point. Known music opening and possible math.
