Columbus North girls - Departing Coach Pat McKee
COLUMBUS, Ind. -- (Updated 3/15) The accolades of departing Coach McKee could easily fill this space. Suffice it to say, he has accomplished just about everything one could hope to as a high school coach. He leaves as the winningest coach in the history of Columbus North girls basketball. Looking at what is expected back for incoming coach, good Varsity Clubber reports three returning starters from a Bull Dogs' team that went 13-6 overall and 5-0 in Conference Indiana in the 2020-21 season. They include 5-10 senior-to-be Kylah Lawson (9.5 ppg, 8.8 rpg), 5-5 junior-to-be Lauren Barker (11.7 ppg, 2.4 rpg, 47 made 3-pointers) and 5-8 junior-to-be Emma Long (3.7 ppg, 2.5 rpg). Three other returning letter-winners (6-0 senior-to-be Andrea Justis, 5-9 senior-to-be Lucy Norman and 5-7 soph-to-be Elise Preston) as well as six additional primarily JV players who saw at least some varsity time. JV squad went 12-2 and freshman team went 11-4 in 2020-21. Another Varsity Clubber reports HS ELA, MS ELA, HS Math, MS Math, several Eled positions as well.
