Chatard girls – Departing Coach Katie Fisher
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – (Updated 3/4) Coach Fisher has been named the new assistant AD at Center Grove opening up the Trojans job. Coach Fisher was 86-63 during her six seasons with the Trojans. Last year’s roster finished 17-8 and reached the Regional finals before falling to Tri-West by 8. Good Varsity Club member reports most of the offense graduates. New coach should inherit a group of underclassmen that logged considerable varsity time last year, but will be asked to do much more in the future. Repot goes onto state that four senior including two leading scorers depart. “There’s enough coming back to field an experienced five to start, but matching last year’s 17 wins will be tough unless someone turns up their scoring over the summer.” JV finished just above .500. Frosh just below. Program participates and is a regular contender in mid-season Indy City Tourney. Long way off, but 7th grade team and 5th grade team described as very strong. Two reports of internal interest. One name mentioned is Deanna Hatfield. Only teaching opening at this time is an obscure one: HS art/ceramics
