Whiteland girls – Departing Coach Ashley Fouch
WHITELAND, Ind. – (Updated 4/29) This one is not officially accepting apps yet, but Coach Fouch leaves Whiteland to take over boys program at Daleville. Fouch, who arrived in Whiteland before last season, was vocal about changing the culture prior to her single season (5-14) with the Warriors. Good Varsity Club members report that criteria for selecting coach for next season may well include helping to re-create the culture that existed prior to Fouch’s arrival. As far as personnel is concerned, Whiteland is expected to return their entire roster, which includes 7 players that were regular rotation at the varsity level. Good Varsity Club member reports plenty of height in underclass grades. JV finished 16-4. Plus 7th and 8th grades are reported as both being very, very strong. Great admin that gets it, and first class facilities. Whiteland now one of the largest schools in the Mid-State Conference: Mooresville, Perry Meridian, Martinsville, Greenwood, Franklin, Plainfield. County and Sectional both contain stumbling block Center Grove, but multiple Varsity Club members point to this job as being a good one long term. Quite a few teaching openings expected closer to end of year. Already confirmed positions include: 3 MS Math, 8 Eled, Eled Sped, HS Ag, HS Reading, HS Math, HS Govt, HS Sped, 2 MS ELA, MS Sped, MS Reading.
