Northeastern girls - (Updated 3/16) Good Varsity Club member reports that Coach Max Adams will not be rehired after three seasons (17-43) at Northeastern. Reportedly an admin decision. Admittedly the Knights were up against it talent-wise the last few years. From that baseline, good Varsity Clubber reports Northeastern loses 50%+ of last year's scoring in the form of three seniors. Depending on who is telling the tale, some of the negativity that haunted the program will also be leaving with that scoring. What does come back is a pair of sr-2-b guards. 5-7 Madeline Adams put up 8 ppg, and 5-10 Sierra Gilmore added 6 ppg and 7 rbs. After that it could be a challenge to find many impactful pieces to go around, especially in the post. A 5-13 JV may not provide much help. One report speaks of some internal interest.
