White River Valley boys – Coach Pigg told his team on the final game of the regular season that he was done. Good Varsity Club member reports alleged conflict with the coach and the administration as to how the program should be ran top to bottom. Last year’s 3-21 squad was up against it talent-wise nearly every time they took the court. The result was a nearly 20 ppg deficit. JV reportedly took similar poundings. Early rumor is current AD was asked to take it which would fit well into the admin scheme of running the program the way they want but early reports are saying the AD is not interested in taking it over. 8th team is their only hope at success in the HS for a while. Decent 6th team and avg 7th team. Tough few years ahead for the new successor! Gym is one of the cooler sunken gyms around – old Switz City High School.
