West Lafayette boys – Departing Coach David Wood
WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – (Updated 3/5) Longtime Red Devil Coach David Wood is calling it a career after 27 years and 364 wins. Last year’s Devils went 6-11, and good Varsity Clubber indicates they graduate a great deal. However, incoming coach should expect to see two legitimate difference makers back in 6-1 jr-2-b guard Braeden Shrewsberry and 6-3 jr-2-b forward Divine Adeyanju. Finding some solid pieces to support them, especially in the post will be the challenge, but both of these returners are described as the real deal for two more seasons. Coach Wood has announced that he will be retiring from his PE/Health position as well, so that is expected to be in play as RDP fills.
