Argos boys – Departing Coach Gordon Mosson
ARGOS, Ind. – (Updated 5/13) Coach Mosson has announce his retirement after a 32 year coaching career. Coach won more than 400 games during that time including a 107-61 seven-year run at Argos. Last season the Dragons finished 18-6 and 4-1 in the weirdly made-up Hoosier Plains Conference: (Career Academy, Bethany Christian, Lakeland Christian, and Elkhart Christian, and Trinity.) What makes this team extra interesting for new coach is that only two seniors graduate and about 4 points leave with them. Varsity Club member reports this team could do some damage. Athletic, balanced scoring, and some decent height for 1A. If there is a weakness, it would be that there is no real go-to scorer that can be counted on for a 20 point night. Sectional 50 is no gimme but is a winnable field over the long run. (Culver, West Central, Triton, Trinity Greenlawn, Oregon-Davis, LaCrosse.) Last year’s JV not very good (6-12.) Confirmed job openings: HS Credit Recovery, MS Reading, Eled. Early name mentioned Assistant Coaches Drew Mosson and Ian Kindig
