TRAVIS BEST FRANKFORT

1997 Indiana All-Star, Bloomington Herald-Times 1st team all-state, AP 2nd team all-state and Indianapolis News 2nd team all-state after averaging 18.8 points and 9 rebounds as senior for 18-6 conference and sectional champion team. Set Frankfort records in career wins, career assists, career steals and 4th in career scoring. 1996 and 1995 IBCA underclass 1st team all-state, a part of teams to go 79-19 over four seasons with four sectional titles and four conference titles. Played two seasons at the University of Louisville, before completing career as a team captain at Purdue. He has been owner of Indiana’s Best Basketball Club, Travis Best Camps, Clinics and Training. He resides in Lafayette.

DON CARLISLE BEN DAVIS

Averaged 12.4 points and 9.0 rebounds as senior for 18-5 sectional champions. Two-year career totals of 544 points and 371 rebounds for teams that were 40-11, including winning the 1996 state championship. He earned all-county, was a City – County All-Star, all-sectional, all-regional, all-semistate and all-state during his career. In three years at IUPUI, he totaled 1,182 points, was 2nd in career rebounds (769) and among program leaders in career steals (140). He led the Mid-Continent Conference in rebounding twice and earned all-conference honors twice. He played professionally for 12 years. He is a P.E. teacher and head coach at Ben Davis, where he led the Giants to a 4A championship game appearance in his first season.

JAMAAL DAVIS MERRILLVILLE

1997 Indiana All-Star, AP 1st team all-state, IBCA 1st team all-state, Bloomington Herald-Times 1st team all-state and Indianapolis News 2nd team all-state after averaging 18.1 points for 21-3 sectional champions. Earned all-state honors three years, earning consensus all-state honors as junior with 18.9 scoring averaging on 18-6 sectional champs and 1st team underclass all-state as a sophomore averaging 12.7 points for 27-2 state runner-up team. Set Merrillville career scoring record of 1,275 points. Played freshman season at Purdue, sophomore year at Barton Community College and two seasons at University of Cincinnati, starting 34 games (6.7 points & 4.2 rebounds) for their 25-10 team that reached the Sweet 16 and starting 33 games (7.4 points & 5.1 rebounds) for their 2002 team that was ranked #5 in the nation and a #1 seed in the NCAA Tournament. He played professionally in the USBL and in Germany.

CHRIS DESJEAN FRANKLIN CENTRAL

1997 Indiana All-Star, 1997 Marion County Player of the Year, Bloomington Herald-Times 2nd team all-state, IBCA 3rd team all-state, Indianapolis News 3rd team all-state and AP high honorable mention all-state after averaging 17.2 points for 22-3 conference championship team. Earned all-conference three year and a two-time all-county selection, leading teams to 62-10 record including three conference titles and 1996 24-2 sectional championship team. Career totals of 937 points and 476 rebounds. Played four seasons at the University of Indianapolis, averaging career bests of 8.5 points and 5.2 rebounds per game as a senior. Earned academic all-conference honors for four years. Employed with Wells Fargo Bank since 2001, he is a senior vice president and resides in Indianapolis.
