Now that the girls season is over it is time to start speculating about which girls teams will get Hall of Fame tournament invitations.

Remember each team can only play once every four seasons. The following teams are ineligible for selection: Westfield, Franklin, SB Washington, Washington, Mount Vernon, Norwell, Fishers, Evansville Memorial, Brownsburg, Penn, Salem and Crown Point.

Noblesville is one of the easiest choices the committee has had to make in recent years. All players return from a defending 4A state champ with a likely McDonalds All-American and Connecticut recruit in Shade.

Bedford North Lawrence seems like an obvious candidate as well. 24-3 team that returns top 4 scorers. Highly recruited players with Spreen and Norman. Know they will be bring a crowd.

Beyond that it gets murky to me.

Zionsville loses one senior from a team that went 16-7 and beat Noblesville. Has a highly recruited player in Hull. But would they want two teams from the same league and same sectional? Does Noblesville want to play Zionsville three times next season and do they have that veto right?

Fort Wayne Snider lose their leading scorer from a 18-4 team but next four scorers are sophomores including a few highly recruited players. They seem more like a pick for the 2023 tournament when those sophomores are seniors.

East Central - returns 4 of top 5 scorers from a 22-5 team.

Lake Central - 24-4 team with top 4 scorers this year were freshmen and sophomores. Like Snider this seems like a 2023 HOF tournament team

Looking at 3A, most of the top ranked teams from this season are ineligible or graduate a lot. A few teams that might be on the radar based on this year's record and returnees:

Mishawaka Marian - top 2 scorers (both 19+ ppg) return from a 20-6 team

Twin Lakes - top 6 scorers return from a 19-6 team

Corydon Central - top 3 scorers return from a 20-3 team.

As for 2A and 1A teams, the last 2A I could find that earned an invite was Heritage Christian in 2014. Evansville Mater Dei played in 2012.

Forest Park will be the defending 2A state champs, they lose one rotation player, return their best player in Tretter and would like bring a sizable crowd. I have to think they are at least on the radar.

What other teams should be in consideration?
