I haven't run a link to this for quite a while (In a minute as the youth say.) For those that are unfamiliar, Gil Thorp is a high school sports themed comic strip that started in 1958. It ran on the box score page of the Evansville Courier sports section the entirety of my time growing up in that area.
Gil is the 3-sport coach at fictional Milford High School, and has faced scores of issues over the decades that mirror societal change in our country. (Steroids, ugly parent situations, National Anthem kneeling, COVID etc)
Many moons ago, I would link to the daily strip, and I would like to commit to trying to do that again. Maybe out of a sense of nostalgia for my daily Gil Thorp fix as a youth.. I hope you are so inclined to enjoy it with me.
