Teacher Brian Tonsoni (a former basketball coach at Northfield and Delphi) said he got into some idle chat during downtime with students in an honors class. They were trading theories about where Purdue and IU might land in the NCAA Tournament. The more they talked — “Argued, too, I guess” — the more Tonsoni thought: What if we tried to figure out how the selection committee did its job? ~
